About Citystay
Citystay is a fantastically located and socially responsible hostel near Berlin's TV Tower.
Private rooms and dorms, including dorms for women, come with lockers and simple, metal frame beds. What you need and nothing more, there is clean but basic bedding and towels for a deposit. Rooms are accessed with key cards.
Citystay is in a 19th Century building with vaulted ceilings. Free Wi-Fi is on offer throughout the hotel and there is no curfew in this kid-friendly hostel. Garbage is divided to be recycled.
Buffet breakfast is served with dairy and cereal products that are always organic. However, breakfast is not included in the room fee. A bar with happy hour is on site.
All of Mitte is at Citystay's doorstep. The TV Tower, World Clock, DDR Museum and Museum Island are all within walking distance. Reach the rest of Berlin from nearby Alexanderplatz's underground and tram stops.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Extra costs are a bad surprise.
A stay at Citystay comes with extra charges, be it the fee for sheets, the deposit for locker keys, or the city tax. Breakfast as well comes at a small cost, so be aware when planning your budget.
negative:
Wi-Fi is not very strong.
Guests who have stayed at the hostel say the Wi-Fi typically doesn't reach the rooms. The lobby is the best place for Internet.
negative:
Not a lot of atmosphere.
Many hostels around the globe have a theme or something that sets them apart. That is not the case here. Some guests are disappointed that the hostel doesn't have more personality.
