Positive Reviews
positive:
Good Base for Touring
Guests say the hotel is in a great location to explore the Virgin Islands because it's virtually in the center of St. Thomas. It's a 15-minute drive to the ferry dock with boats to St. John, and it's anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes to any beach on the island.
positive:
Beautiful Views of the Bay
Guests with balconies overlooking the bay say the view is amazing, with Hassel Island in the distance. Since the resort is on top of a hill, you also get picturesque views over the city, especially at night. Guests also love watching the cruise ships come in and out of the bay.
positive:
Great Restaurants
The two restaurants on-site get high marks from guests. A Room with a View is an award-winning fine-dining restaurant with beautiful views of the bay. For those who want to dine off the resort, it's just minutes from many downtown restaurants and bars.

Not All Rooms have Views
While all the units here have balconies, all views aren't the same. Some rooms overlook the bay and the city and offer panoramic views of the island, but some units at the back of the resort have a less appealing view of neighboring buildings.
negative:
No Housekeeping
Some guests are surprised to find there's no daily housekeeping at the hotel. It's not a problem if you're only staying a day or two, but if you plan a longer stay, housekeeping services are available for a fee.

Can't Walk to the Beach
The resort is located high on a hill near the main town and harbor so there's not any good beaches within walking distance. You can take a cab or rent a car and get to any of the beautiful beaches on the island in less than a half hour. The hotel also has an outdoor pool area where guests can get wet and unwind and enjoy the view.
