Positive Reviews
positive:
The personal touch.
The friendly, personal service provided at Ca'Bella really
sets it apart - guests rate the tips and recommendations the owner provides, as
well as the little extras, such as a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival.
You should feel right at home and very well looked after here.
positive:
Excellent location.
As well as being within walking distance of the main
touristic areas of Venice, guests love the fact that the location is quiet and
away from the crowds. It's the best of both worlds, with easy travel on foot
and waterbus around Venice, but a tranquil place to return to.
positive:
Relaxing atmosphere.
The unique, homely style and charming atmosphere of Ca'Bella
wins guests over, and if you're looking for an authentic Venetian experience,
you'll find it here. The cute courtyard is a pleasant place to sit and relax
after a day of exploring the city.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Cash payments only.
Only cash payments are accepted, which some guests find a
bit annoying, especially if they weren't aware of this in advance. If you'd
rather not make an expensive cash withdrawal, then it's a good idea to factor
this in when you're sorting your money at the start of your trip.
negative:
Overdone rooms.
Some guests found that the rooms were on the small side, especially if you're staying as a couple. While the décor gives an authentic Venetian atmosphere, guests also mentioned that it can make the rooms a bit dark and overcrowded, given the size.
negative:
Some issues with the beds.
Not all guests found the beds entirely comfy, and while this seems to be very subjective, a particular issue seems to be that you might find that your double bed is in fact two singles pushed together, which can be a bit annoying.
