Hotel Blue Bay Inn and Suites (South Padre Island, USA)

The view of the beach is amazing if you have been lucky enough to have a view from your room. It actually adds another dimension to the whole experience of staying at the facility. It's really quite nice!

The hotel is superb for the price. Of course, it's not a posh hotel, but it will do for what you get. The overall comfort level is high and check-in is swift and easy.

The hotel location is great. You are roughly five-minutes from the beach. A fast food place eatery is right across the street. There are also souvenir shops close by.

The breakfast could be better managed. Sharing butter, jam, and jars of jelly is just not cool. No cream cheese for the bagels and having to pass around a pitcher of milk is insulting to say the least.

If you have a problem with the plumbing for example, the response is pure comedy. You are given the idea that "it's no big deal it happens all the time." Then you have to wait for a maintenance person to come, when they can make it. What's more, the hotel offers no acknowledgment and no effort to accommodate you concerning the situation. Where is the hospitality?.

You may find roaches running around having a field day. On top of that, attempts to hide defects like holes and the like fail miserably. The walls are quite thin as well.
