Hotel Best Western Erie Inn & Suites (Erie, USA)

A solstice happens twice a year and it's certainly worth coming back to this Solstice on a regular basis! Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and staff are great. Breakfast, too, is very good.

Tip! Dig deep and invest in a suite with a Jacuzzi. Pay a little bit more to multiply the enjoyment. Air conditioning issues? There aren't any! It runs quietly and efficiently and mirrors the investment in the refurbishment of this hotel.

Shoppers and leisure seekers know this is a great hotel base for entertainment, sightseeing and sporting activities as well as energetic shopping in Eerie, at Grove City and Millcreek Malls. It's close to the highway too, so easy access.

Cleaning of the bathrooms can't happen more than twice a year, as evidenced by the untold mold! You can even smell it in the lobby. Corridor and stairs carpets are old and dusty and likewise, can't have been touched in months. This must be why they renamed the inn, The Solstice?!

Breakfast is OK, but eggs seem to be rubberized and singularly unappealing. Maybe they're powdered, but that went out ages ago .. after the 'shelling' in WW2!

The gym is severely limited as to what is on offer: a couple of treadmills, a broken bike and no weights. The pool is little more than a play area and certainly not designed for any serious swimming. On the subject of water related activities, the WiFi signal is terrible so don't rely on it for 'surfing' the net.
