It's close to the 170 - so access is very easy - but traffic noise isn't an issue. If you don't want the neighboring fast food ‘joints', it's only five miles into Zanesville. Rooms on the west side of the building enjoy stunning sunsets … combined with less than appealing vistas of the backside of the hotel next door.
On arrival, front desk personnel are friendly, polite and efficient. Rooms are acceptably clean and comfortable. This is all that the overnight traveler needs!
Rooms in this pet-friendly hotel do NOT smell of animals! Refreshingly unusual; no dog hair or anything like that. It just seems a bit strange that ‘doggy' rooms are on the third floor … not perfect for late night walkies.
Difficult to navigate the potholes outside without damaging the car!
It's tempting to go to one of the fast-food outlets across the street because, here, the food quality is poor; the pancake machine has ‘flipped' and doesn't work. Neither does the fruit juice machine. Not an appetizing start to the day. Tip: get there early, before everything disappears … *It isn't replaced.
You have to feel somewhat sorry for members of staff who are bombarded with complaints. They have created a hard skin and now show little interest in solving the multitude of issues coming from guests. Annoying little things get missed. Request a wake- up call and repeatedly. you don't get it. No excuse, just shoddy admin.
