Lovely setting
This hotel is in a scenic little town that has wonderful views of the Lough. If you get the chance when booking you should ask for a sea front room as those have amazing views. The town itself is quaint and nice to walk around.

The portions of some of the dishes served in the restaurant are huge so best to ask first before you order too much. It's all very well prepared and delicious, and the breakfast is hearty, to say the least.
The people that work here are extremely friendly and offer the warmest of Irish welcomes. You'll feel right at home from the moment you walk through the door. The bar staff are particularly good fun and are quite good at remembering names.
Many guests are left scratching their heads as they wonder where to check in at this hotel. There is just a small hatch that is part of the bar which is far from ideal for people that are paying large amounts of cash or handing over credit cards.
There seems to be an issue with doors that rattle or slam during the night at this hotel. Some guests were awoken when other guests walked down the hallways or opened their doors which could be an issue for light sleepers.
The restaurant serves some very tasty food, but some guests were unlucky in that it took too long to get to their tables. They were also annoyed that it also took a very long time to take orders and some even complained of hour long waits for food.
