The staff is friendly and helpful and tries to answer any questions or concerns with professionalism. The owners and family members are often on hand and give personal attention to many problems.

The breakfast served here is better than just a dry continental and this really adds to the value of the room rate. The ambiance is also quite unique with the building being historic, rather than just a standard chain room. You can feel safe and secure knowing there is a hotel safe and you have access to Wi-Fi and laundry facilities.

The hotel is quite close to many restaurants, pubs, and markets which can be accessed with just a stroll in any direction. It's also only about a five-minute walk to the beach, a short walk to the old town centre, and a 15-minute ride to the airport.

The building is older and suffers from lack of adequate maintenance. It looks and feels run down and some amenities, fixtures, and features are broken with no signs of repair in the future.

While the staff does try to have some bilingual assistance, language might be a problem if you don't speak fluent Spanish. There are often issues with prices mischarged or misquoted and rates for items change frequently, creating even more confusion and frustration.

This hotel provides only the basic amenities. This means the rooms are rather small and the bedding and mattresses aren't luxurious. The air conditioning will struggle to keep up with the heat and noises from outside leak into the rooms. Wi-Fi is also a bit slow.
