There are over 14 trails in the area in various skill levels from easy walks to difficult hikes. Keller Peak and Strawberry Peak lookout towers are open daily from 9 to 5 pm through late fall. Pinnacles Trail, 3.5 miles, begins at the entrance to the Rifle Range on Hwy 173. Easy walks are Heaps Peak Arboretum off Hwy 18 and the Children's near Running Springs. With thousands of acres of National Forest,you can hike or ski as far as you want to go to enjoy the gentle sound of nature. You may even encounter a glimpse of a mule deer, a coyote or a bald eagle.
