Hotel Anchorage Inn (York Beach, USA)

The location is the best. Ocean views and being right across the street from Long Beach is a big plus. Try to request a room in the Atrium, that way you are guaranteed a great ocean view.

The kids will love the accommodations. The slide, kiddie pool, trolly service, the whole shebang is really nice. The kids will certainly enjoy it!

The staff is competent and there for all of your needs. They don't mind the awkward request either. The hotel is extremely family friendly, and it really shows.

The balcony is really tiny and just enough place for a couple of chairs. You can relax but there's no room to stretch your legs. Hopefully, you will at least have a nice vista. You could very well end up with huge propane tanks or a building for a view.

The inn is a little on the expensive side, but there are things like chipped paint, too small rooms, broken shades, uncomfortable mattress, rust spots on metal, and dirty grout are things you prefer not to see or experience for the price you pay. The rooms are clean but could do with an upgrade. The elevator is too small and a bit stuffy as well so avoid it if you can.

There is an extra charge for breakfast. You would think with the price you are paying for the accommodation, at least there would be a complimentary breakfast. Not only that, they try to get you for every cent. Luckily, just a short walk away are eating places that offer a reasonably priced and decent breakfast.
