The reception and management staff front desk receive many rave reviews for their friendly, efficient service. Guests often comment on their smiling faces and sincere commitment to making everyone feel "at home.".

Most guests describe the rooms as very clean and modern, with comfortable beds and well equipped kitchens. Families and groups enjoy the added space and privacy of the one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites. Guests often comment on the tasteful decor throughout the property, and generally love the outdoor patio with the gas fire pits surrounded by comfortable chairs.

Drivers appreciate the hotel's location, noting that it is easy to find from I-95 and within a short drive of downtown Portsmouth, Fox Run Mall, the Tanger Outlets in Kittery, and many more attractions. The hotel also offers a free shuttle with a three mile radius.

Though most guests describe the rooms as quiet, the hotel is very family friendly and a few guests were unlucky to receive rooms directly beneath guests with very energetic little ones. Most, but not all, who report kids running back and forth find that the hotel staff is able to resolve the situation appropriately.

Several guests have noted that the dining area is a bit small for the number of guests at the complimentary breakfast or evening social. A few have also noted that the staff, though friendly and hard-working, struggles to keep items stocked and tables cleaned during prime times.

Though most guests report very clean rooms, there have been a few notable exceptions. Others are put off by guests and staff smoking near the first floor entrances to the non-smoking building.
