The hardwood furniture also provides a nice and classy feel to the rooms, and will leave you feeling like you've received your money's worth for aesthetic value alone.

Sites such as SeaWorld, the San Diego Zoo, and many more are within minutes of driving, and can even be accessed using nearby shuttles and taxi services to avoid the hassle of driving in the city. If you're able, you can walk to some of these hotspots, too.

While some of the limited features may spell out this point, it's worth noting that the hotel is relatively cheap for the San Diego area, and will help to provide extra funds for taxi fares, eating out, and generally exploring the city.

Numerous guests reported being placed in rooms that were smaller than their original reservation, but being charged for the price of the original and larger room. Be sure to bring copies of your reservation and bring up any pricing disputes immediately.

The nearness of San Diego International Airport and various streets leads to excessive noise, which can be particularly troubling if you have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep with noise distractions. The back side of the hotel is supposedly quieter, but should be specifically requested.

Several guests complained about insects being in their rooms, as well as peeling paint, broken air-conditioning units, and other minor issues that regular cleaning and maintenance should be able to solve.
