Superb Breakfast
The breakfast is superb. You have a choice between a Scottish breakfast or porridge, salmon, egg, and more. There is plenty to eat including bread rolls, fruit, cereals, jam, just about everything you can imagine that completes a hearty breakfast. They also address special request at the guest house.

Well Connected And Friendly
The facility is family run. They are full of friendly chatter and advice about things to do and see in Edinburgh. You feel that they care that you are there. The location is well-connected to down town whether walking or taking the bus. There are a number of bus lines that come right in front of the building as well. The owners do special little things for you like making a take-away breakfast if you don't have time to eat and also offer great suggestions for eating places like the Salisbury Arms, which is a short walk from the facility.

Negative Reviews
negative:
Main Street Noise
The accommodations are located on a main street, so you can expect plenty of noise from the outside traffic. However, if you are towards the back of the building you may be less bothered by the noise.
negative:
Where's The Privacy
The bathroom is inside the room. You can imagine the lack of privacy with this type of scenario; however, this may not be the case with every room.
negative:
Not So Comfy Bed
You may find your mistress is a bit too “springy.” However, staff will be attentive to your needs if you find this is the case. Don't expect any type of compensation for you discomfort though.
