Well-presented property run by knowledgeable host
Many commented positively on the appearance of this well-presented period property. Additionally, the host of this quirky B&B impressed guests with her intimate knowledge of the Eureka Springs area and is not unknown for her to offer assistance in terms of itinerary planning.
positive:
Fab rooms and grounds, great for historic district
Guests loved the charming, old-fashioned feel of the rooms here, which are eclectically decorated. While the interiors were fabulous indeed, this property’s garden was the real show-stopper. Complete with birdhouses, water features and even fish, it added a true ‘wow’ factor to guests’ stays, something that raised the overall ambience of this property. As if this wasn’t enough, guests were pleased to find that this B&B made a great base from which to explore the historic district of Eureka Springs.
positive:
Breakfast on the balcony
This inn does offer a gourmet breakfast, cooked by the host herself. The big draw here, however, was not the meal itself, but how it was served up al fresco, on the balcony of the B&B overlooking the property’s spectacular garden.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Mind the step
Those in certain configurations noted that egress to and from these rooms was dangerous as stairs stopped short with no landing to cushion any potential falls. At the time of writing, no accidents have been reported, but the potential danger has not gone unnoticed.
negative:
Host rubbed many the wrong way
This property’s host has a strong personality, which many felt did unfortunately come across as bossy. Sadly, this veneer rubbed many the wrong way.
negative:
Not all configurations are en-suite
Finally, many were unhappy to find that not all room configurations here are en-suite. This, of course, meant sharing bathroom facilities, something that many were not happy to do.
