Negative Reviews
negative:
High traffic area
Several guests were disturbed by traffic noise, as there is a CTA terminal across the street and the Interstate is nearby. Others noted that though many top attractions are within easy reach, the hotel's immediate neighborhood is a bit "industrial".
negative:
Pricey parking
Though many guests give the valet attendant high marks for his prompt and professional service, some are also taken aback by the nightly fee for parking.
negative:
Time for an update..
Some guests note that the Holiday Inn & Suites Chicago-Downtown is an older building, and despite the best efforts of the housekeeping and maintenance staff, the rooms have an unmistakably "old and tired" feeling. Others were turned off by cigarette odor in non-smoking rooms, or had trouble with the Wi-Fi.
