Rooms are generally clean, although guest mutterings indicate that standards vary quite a lot. They are, though, nicely decorated and larger than anticipated. The bed is super comfy, the bathroom is clean and everywhere gives the impression of being well maintained. Cherries on the cake include the very friendly front desk welcome and the number of good restaurants that are close by.
The buffet breakfast is quite varied. There’s plenty of it and it’s well presented and free. *What’s not to like!
The outdoor pool is seasonal, so liable to be closed at certain times of the year. Worth noting if this facility is crucial to your stay. The gymnasium is a bit on the small side, although the equipment is up to date and working.
Late-night fellow guests returning from a noisy night out and fuelled by alcohol, take it on themselves to share their celebrations with other guests who are trying to sleep. More of a behavioral problem – although, if there is any sound-proofing here, it’s not apparent.
Points can get knocked off in respect of mold on the bathroom ceiling, an extraction fan that is noisy and goes ‘like the clappers’ - but all to no effect. Then, there's the water constantly flushing through the pipes behind the walls. You could be forgiven for thinking that smoking is compulsory here. The elevator is slow and on its last legs.
