Great location with a fantastic view of the sea and islands. You are a short walk from the town centre and near the port if you want to travel to Mull. The house has a traditional Scottish Victorian feel to it.

The proprietors of the guest house are friendly, helpful, and maintain the establishment to a reasonable standard. They are quite informative about the area as well.

Lucky for you there is plenty of coffee and tea in the room. There's nothing like relaxing with a cup of tea and enjoying the fantastic view!

Depending on your temperament, this can be a plus or minus. In any case, the kitchen is self-service, which means that you have to do the washing up after cooking, which means that not everyone follows the rules! Don't be surprised if you find yourself washing other visitor's dirty pots and pans before you can cook your meal.

You might feel you're not getting value for money and you're paying too much for what you get. It's pretty much a generic hotel that's seen better days. Other annoyances include small parking spaces, poor Wi-Fi, and paying on arrival. There seems to be a bit of “over decorating” going on as the corridors are very cluttered.

You have to decide what you want to eat the night before and give the “precise” time you want to eat your breakfast. One minute off, and you could find yourself with a good scolding for not being on time, not ordering what they preferred, and not writing it in the breakfast book.
