Seafront location is lovely.
Make sure you request a seaward room if you’re interested in some stunning vistas. From your room, you’ll be able to watch the waves roll in and out, enjoy the islands across the harbour and smell the salty air through your window.

The owners are a local treasure trove.
Owned and operated by the Ramage family since the ‘60s, you’ll appreciate the hotel’s commitment to quality and friendly service. You’ll also enjoy their knowledge of local history. On the right day, you can sit at the pub, enjoy a frosty pint and hear them discuss the events and people that crafted this charming town.

Dine by the sea or in your room.
Each morning, the hotel kitchen prepares a lovely little breakfast. Depending upon how lively you’re feeling, you can either enjoy a buffet selection of English favourites, cereals, yoghurts, etc. in the dining area with its lovely seaside views or choose to eat in the comfort of your room.

negative:
Uncomfortable sleeping arrangements.
Overall, travellers found the hotel to be a charming place to stay with impressive ocean views. However, some guests have complained about the beds being too hard or lumpy, the linens being a bit on the tatty side and some rooms being a little cramped. You may wish to book a larger room.
negative:
Bathroom fixture problems.
While most guests of the hotel haven't had any major issues, some have reported concerns with the plumbing, including toilets that have difficulty flushing, shower water pressure, water leaking from the shower onto the floor and problems with a sustained hot or cold water supply.

Welcome to the ‘70s.
Unless you’re a nostalgia fanatic, you may not be fond of the hotel’s accidentally retro theme. According to several prior visitors, the hotel is in need of a serious update. Between the furnishings, the décor, the furniture, the restrooms and the remnant smell of smoke, it may be too much time travel for you.
