Positive Reviews
positive:
Super charged front desk staff.
They go beyond the call of what is reasonably expected to ensure that guests' problems and ailments are catered for. If a problem involves you changing rooms, they'll do that. With the front-desk staff firing on all cylinders, any problems are quickly reduced in magnitude.
positive:
Clean and a good location.
Rooms are very clean and serviced daily. The place itself, is in an enviable location; handy for a number of attractions .. and some great shopping opportunities!
positive:
Sundry goodies.
Breakfast is fine and they cater well for leisure and business guests; including those in the area for conferences. The price is good and most rooms have the benefit of a balcony area. There's been some renovation here and more than a touch of paint - results in a real touch of class!
Negative Reviews
negative:
Highly charged staff.
Some guests are idiots! ... with their ridiculous queries and demands for immediate solutions to long term problems. When all these folk descend on the front desk at the same time, staff reach their limit, blow a fuse and provide a firework display of emotion and frustration. It shouldn't happen but they are only human + it does provide a good side show for the innocent onlooker.
negative:
A damp start.
Bedding, carpets and surfaces are damp and tacky and the room, generally, has that dank, dismal and a slightly wet feel.
negative:
Time for therapy.
Staff need a course in customer service to enable them to cope with unreasonable demands. At present, all guests seemed to be classed as one big nuisance, so legitimate requests and queries meet with the same negative staff response. Some guests, though, would benefit from some role reversal. See how 'they' cope!
