Positive Reviews
positive:
Convenient for hospital hub
There are many hospitals located near the hospital, more than 10 in number, and the hotel provides great convenience for guests having business at any of those. It's also quite close to the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and only a 10-minute drive to Fenway Park.
positive:
Not a chain stay
This is a different kind of hotel and a nice change from a traditional hotel stay. The staff is accommodating and welcoming and invests a personal touch into transactions with guests, often giving personal recommendations and tips about the area. The little extras in the rooms, such as nice toiletries and Keurig coffee maker, are a nice touch.
positive:
Nice touches throughout
There are nice extra touches throughout the hotel. The coffee shop in the lobby has pastries for sale, saving on a trip to a restaurant. In the lobby, there are evening board game competitions open to any guest.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Lacking amenities
The hotel does lack some needed amenities that many chains would have. There is no free breakfast buffet. Also, the lack of a pool is disappointing for those looking to stay and relax for multiple days.
negative:
Out of the city
The location of the hotel is far from the city center, so you'll have to travel for entertainment. Also, there are no food choices within easy walking distance. The hotel is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood and there are few commercial businesses for any needs.
negative:
A loud lift
The elevator in the hotel is quite loud. It makes an extremely cranky noise when used and that ruckus can be heard in the guest rooms. Since there is no soundproofing, guests can also hear conversations and traffic, too.
