Friendly, welcoming staff..
The reception staff, shuttle drivers, and housekeeping team frequently receive rave reviews for their friendly, professional service. Compliments also go to the chef at Stadium 3 Bar and Grille, and to the cheerful, efficient wait staff. The warm cookies in the lobby are also widely popular.
positive:
Comfortable rooms with a pool..
Guests often describe the rooms as very clean and comfortable, and note that the Executive level rooms offer particularly good value as they include access to the lounge, which offers a nice view as well as a complimentary breakfast and happy hour. Guests often note that the pool is a nice size by hotel standards, and having a Starbucks in the lobby is always a plus.
Negative Reviews
negative:
A dim view..
Many guests comment that the windows need more frequent washing or, better yet, replacement, as the current ones let in too much street and railway noise for a good night's rest, even on upper floors.
negative:
Getting old and tired..
Guests often note that the Doubletree is an older building, and some describe the rooms as "old and tired", with worn, dated furnishings, carpet, and bathroom fixtures. The hallways and elevators seem to be in need of brightening up or deeper cleaning as well.
negative:
Parking is extra..
Some guests felt that the parking garage could use better signage, while others found the additional charge for parking to be a bit pricey for the area.
