Positive Reviews
positive:
Rooms are a delight.
The room is attractively decorated and furnished. The bed is comfortable. Suite upgrades are well worth the extra cost, if the budget allows. Rooms are exceptionally clean and well maintained. The higher the room, the quieter it will be. Who knows, you may strike it lucky and get a river view!
positive:
An excellent and convenient location.
This is a good location for commercial visitors and sightseeing tourists. The metro, market, People's Square and Walking Street are all close by. now!
positive:
Wonderful staff.
Members of staff are friendly and very helpful. Language can be a problem but, generally, members of staff transcend even this hurdle.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Wi-Fi disaster area.
The Wi-Fi is not reliable at all; making the hotel not such a good proposition for visiting business people who rely on it.
negative:
Disappointing breakfast.
The breakfast buffet is of a similar standard to the Wi-Fi. The quality and choices are poor and it isn't worth the cost. Much of the problem is that most choices are Asian in content and when you ask a question, the catering staff members don't understand English. Thankfully, there are alternatives locally, including the ever reliable McDonald's! The evening restaurant is very good but spoilt by the staff being money, rather than food, focused.
negative:
On a ‘go slow'.
Check in is long drawn out and unnecessarily time-consuming. Try to get served in the bar and you meet the same attitude. They aren't rude at all … just very slow. This can be tiresome if you have a timetable to meet. Frustration increases further when the non-English speaking front desk personnel don't understand that you need a taxi - and you need it now!
