The majority of people mentioned that the rooms were clean, especially considering that this is also a pet hotel. Most of the guests also understood that they would be making their own beds, emptying their own trash, etc. so for them the no-frills aspect wasn't an issue.

Two types of travelers seem to enjoy this location. One is families taking the kids on vacation. The second is business people who want to feel at home rather than 'on the road'. A number of people really enjoyed the in-room kitchen facilities. They found them convenient and also money-saving.

Many guests remarked that they really enjoyed their interactions with the staff. Not only were they friendly and helpful, they also helped create a warm atmosphere.

Although this is a non-smoking hotel, some guests mentioned that they can still smell the lingering odor of tobacco smoke in their rooms. So if you have a finely tuned nose, you may have an issue here. Most guests, however, didn't find a problem.

Some guests mentioned that they were not given the rooms they paid for. Others mentioned that they had to go elsewhere because they were overbooked. It should be noted, the majority of guests didn't have an issue with checking in.

The jury seems to be out on how comfortable the mattresses are.. Or uncomfortable depending on whom you ask. While some people thought that the beds were extremely hard, others mentioned they were pillowy soft. So it may just be a matter of preference and your experience may vary.
