Arirang Hill Hotel Dongdaemun (Seoul, South Korea)

This hotel is situated in the Dongdaemun neighbourhood of Seoul. You are just a few minutes’ walk away from the subway station and from there pretty much all of the tourist attractions can be found within about an hour’s journey. If you don’t like to be confined to your hotel then this is a perfect location as there multiple shops, restaurants and other amenities in the immediate vicinity.

If you were staying in a property of this standard in downtown Seoul you would most likely be paying a much higher room rate. To be slightly out of the centre means the property feels extremely good value for the experience you receive.

For guests not wanting to venture outside of the hotel there is a coffee shop on-site where you can treat yourself to a speciality hot drink or a snack. There is also a fitness centre for anyone wanting to keep in shape whilst away from home and a “do it yourself” laundry service for anyone lodging here long term. Wi-Fi is available free of charge and is pretty fast and reliable.

If you have any mobility issues at all do not rely on the subway system here, it is a bit of a maze and has multiple flights of stairs. If this is likely to cause a problem you will need to factor in the cost of taxis to take you wherever you want to go.

Some guests have been disappointed on arrival to see that there is no swimming pool on-site.

If you like to indulge in a drink in your hotel room you may find it difficult here as there are no minibars in the guestrooms and there is no room service available.
