Award-winning Cedar Point opens its doors during the summer months only. Between May and October you can enjoy the main amusement park. However, the Cedar Point Shores Water Park, which lies on the same site, opens between May and September only. Current roller coaster highlights among the numerous rides at Cedar Point include the towering Steel Vengeance, which reaches a top speed of 74 miles per hour and set ten world records when it opened in 2018, and the Top Thrill Dragster, which reaches a top speed of 120 miles per hour from a standing start in less than four seconds.
There are many more seasonal activities to enjoy in the area once you’ve finished riding the Cedar Point roller coasters. Between May and August you can join Ohioans and visitors alike and take to the waters of Lake Erie on ferries to travel to islands just north of Sandusky.
