Positive Reviews
positive:
Conveniently located.
The Radisson Royal Dubai is very well connected by public transportation, near the World Trade Center metro station and a bus station serviced by many routes. Taxis are also plentiful in the city, and guests note the Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, and many other attractions are within a short drive. Corporate travellers describe the location on Sheikh Zayed Road as "excellent", being near the DIFC and the business district.
positive:
Exceptional staff.
Most guests are welcomed warmly and describe the staff as friendly, helpful, and professional. The Super Breakfast Buffet generally lives up to its name, with most guests praising the impressive variety of hot and cold options. The Lebanese, Indian, and Italian restaurants on site have also received many compliments.
positive:
Modern rooms with stunning views.
Most guests find the rooms to be sparkling clean and airy, with comfortable, modern furnishings. Many guests enjoyed the impressive view of the city from their rooms, or else headed up to the Club Lounge on the 42nd floor for the impressive vista it offers. Most consider the rooms to be spacious, particularly by European standards. The beds are generally described as very comfortable, and several guests are impressed by the touch screen telephones and high-end televisions.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Hot and bothered.
Several guests ran into plumbing or air-conditioning issues during their stay, while others were bothered by noisy neighbours.
negative:
Big fish, small pond...
Several guests were disappointed in the outdoor pool area, and would have liked to see a larger 'main' pool. Others wished for more equipment or more space in the fitness centre.
negative:
Breakfast of champions...
Most guests thoroughly enjoy the breakfast ... for the first day or two. Guests who stay much longer soon note that though the variety is impressive, the menu does not change day to day.
