U Stare Pani - At the Old Lady Hotel (Prague, Czech Republic)

A more personal hotel on a small side street, Hotel U Stare Pani is idyllically located amidst historical landmarks, restaurants, bars, various city tour companies and museums. The old street shops, Old Town Square, the Astronomical Clock, Mucha Museum, and Charles Bridge are all less than fifteen-minutes' stroll away. This spot is an excellent bang for your buck with the location, on-site restaurant and free breakfast, although some have been sad that the jazz club is not functioning on the premises at this time. Breakfast includes plenty of hot and cold options like fresh fruit, sausages, eggs, cheeses, cereals, vegetables and coffee/tea. The tasty Moravian wine with dinner is also a must-try!

Comfortable beds, tidy and large units with windows that open and an elevator to top floors. Ask for a courtyard-facing room if you think the street noise will bother you.

A central locale like this will be noisy at times - ask for a back-facing unit and bring your earplugs.

Angled ceilings may be awkward for getting out of bed, and the smell of frying foods seems to linger. Some bathrooms are very small and bath tubs are not great for anyone with mobility issues. No air conditioning in most units.

Some rooms seem to have limited Wi-Fi capabilities and parking is distant and expensive. Ask reception for suggestions on alternatives.
