Convenient Location
Guests found that the location was excellent, serving as a a great base to explore down-town Vancouver. The accommodation comprises a bedroom, living room, bathroom and small kitchen with plenty of space. There are excellent views over ocean and mountains especially from the upper floors. .

The reception staff are friendly and helpful and the Wi-Fi connection was found to be very good. .

It is worth noting is that there is a small laundry room downstairs that has both washing and drying coin-operated machines that will do a complete wash of clothes there for a extremely cheap price. .

Not Great for the Money
It was however felt that at that the price did not truly represent value for money. The hotel suffers from lack of maintenance, and is in need of a fair amount of updating to bring it into line with modern standards. Guests described the kitchen as run-down and poorly equipped. Some showers did not work, also lamps were not working and bedspreads had holes in them.

Unwelcome Other Occupants
Guests were not impressed by the level of cleanliness in the hotel citing carpets as filthy with holes everywhere. The cleaning lady's cart seemed to be a rusty old shopping cart, with towels and toiletries dumped in it. Mention was made by guests of the presence of bed bugs and mice.

Hot and Noisy with Greek Additions
The hotel lacks air conditioning, this was found to be a serious shortcoming in the summer months. Guests opened all the windows only to find that overpowering smell from the Greek restaurant below wafted up 11 storeys. The central location, whilst convenient is very noisy, and walls are thin allowing sounds from adjoining rooms to intrude.
