Positive Reviews
positive:
Highly convenient location
It's very easy to strike out and see a whole host of attractions and sights from this hotel. For instance, the wonderfully engaging Science North museum and beautiful Bell Park (with its splendid boardwalk and beaches) are both just a 15-minute walk away. There’s even a bowling alley and an Imax cinema within strolling distance.
positive:
Nice quiet location
If you’re worried about this hotel’s roadside location, i.e. that you’ll be forced to listen to traffic all throughout the night, then don’t fret. The accommodations in this property aren’t, in general, beset by any kind of significant street-generated noise.
positive:
Perkins restaurant is a nice touch
It may not be overly sophisticated but the food served up in this laid-back eatery is tasty, well presented and, for the most part, pretty economical. You can even get a discount on your breakfasts if you ask at reception when you first arrive.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Heating and air-conditioning needs attention
Numerous guests have been left less-than-impressed the environmental controls in the accommodations. Temperamental heaters and noisy air-conditioning units were the main gripes.
negative:
Car park has some issues
You’ll need to take care when entering or exiting the hotel’s car park as there are some very significant pot holes located at both access points. Definitely something to keep in mind if you’re concerned about returning your hire car in one piece!
negative:
Beds aren’t so comfy
A great many visitors have highlighted the beds in the guest rooms as being a (literally) sore point of contention. Evidently, the mattresses here are VERY firm...
