Decent Locale with Beautiful Grounds
Charming, well-maintained grounds offer a natural, rustic feel to the surroundings of this State College spot. The popular golf course attracts many and the heated pool for adults/ kiddie wading pool are enjoyed by numerous others. A nearby bus stop gets guests downtown easily. Although widely considered to have been on the decline, this property is undergoing a gradual refurbishment, sprucing up many areas. Rooms are no frills with decent bedding, functioning amenities and excellent showers in some newly-tiled bathrooms. Ask for a view over the pool or golf course. Don't be surprised to find bottled water and chocolates upon arrival. Look for discounts to get the most bang for your buck - the rates likely get much higher during Penn State football game (or other large event) weekends. The daily continental breakfast serves up the expected options with a few extras like French Toast, corned beef hash and bacon.
