Positive Reviews
positive:
Nicely located to everything you want to see
The hotel is conveniently located to many popular local attractions. Several shopping outlets, entertainment venues, and kitschy pop culture places are in close proximity, and the Great Smokies aren't far for some hiking and Nature observations.

Good price for a cheap stop at short notice
Island Drive Lodge is a great little place for a budget and a quick stop. It's also a good option for when you already know you need to stay in the area. You get a quaint room or suite, free breakfast, have access to a pool, and everything you need is within a short walking or driving distance.
positive:
Staff are warm, polite, and very helpful
The staff echo the same kind of down-home Southern hospitality you expect from the region. They greet each guest with warm, welcoming smiles, and always ask how everything is, when they see you. Attentive, prompt, and courteous, it's great to have such lovely customer service.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Breakfast is bland and not enough to go around
Expectations fail with the breakfast, as it's not as tasty, filling, or representative of what's hyped. There are also insufficient quantities for all guests, and the dining area is also too small to accommodate everyone.
negative:
Poor housekeeping and uncomfortable beds
Beds are not that conducive to restful sleeps. They're too hard and uncomfortable, so you may have trouble unwinding. Housekeeping standards aren't up to par either, with rooms often still showing clear signs of previous use. Bathrooms have grime and mold, rooms have garbage, and even carpets are in need of better upkeep.
negative:
Lighting and Wi-Fi signal needs improvement
Poor Wi-Fi puts a cramp in consistent online communications. Lighting is quite dim in the rooms, so you may experience difficulty reading, watching TV, or relaxing.
