Negative Reviews
negative:
Overpriced
Several guests felt that the hotel is
actually more of a B&B category property which charges hotel prices.
Several guests also felt that the drinks at the bar and meals at the restaurants
were rather steep.
negative:
Noisy, dated
Some guests complained of creaky
floorboards overhead keeping them awake, and noise and music from the bar disturbing
their sleep till well after midnight. Several guests also felt that the room
interiors appeared tired and dated and that they needed some refurbishments and
modernisation.
negative:
Upkeep and parking issues
Some guests felt that cleanliness and
upkeep were not up to par. Malfunctioning flushes, inadequate heating in the
rooms and worn carpets were other issues reported by guests. Though parking is
available onsite for guests, it is also open to non-residents, so some guests
have had problems finding parking here.
