The hotel’s location, right by an interstate exit, was by far what guests most appreciated about it. It meant that the hotel was thankfully easy to find after what for many was a long and tiring trip. Also, it was convenient for when they were ready to travel to Detroit and other destinations in the area.

While guests did not directly bring up the question of value for money, quite a number said that this hotel was one of the very cheapest they could find in the area.

Many guests really appreciated having the indoor pool available. It was an unexpected amenity in this category of hotel, and they were grateful they could take a refreshing dip and revitalize at the end of a long day.

Guests really did not think much of the cleanliness standards applied at the hotel. They mentioned that both their rooms and the public areas of the hotel were very dirty when they arrived, and did not improve at all during the course of their stay.

While the hotel advertises both smoking and non-smoking rooms, many guests who booked non-smoking rooms reported that their room had pretty obviously been recently occupied by a smoker. Also, the official smoking rooms do not seem to be on in a special area, so pretty much all the hallways of the hotel were said to smell of smoke.

Guests did understand that they were in a budget hotel, but still did not believe that such a property should go so long without seeing a renovation. They described the rooms as not merely simple, but as looking exceptionally worn and dated.
