Filling breakfasts.
The English breakfast prepared at The Crown is fresh and packed with satisfying options, providing a range of both hot and cold dishes for you to enjoy in the dining area. A number of unique brewed drinks and juices are also available for your choosing.
positive:
Comforting hosts.
Because of The Crown's insistence on operating with home comforts and a sense of tradition, the proprietors are always willing to go to extra lengths to provide you with better service, and often provide small treats or more amenities to help you feel at home.
positive:
Beautiful views.
Morecambe Bay is located just a stone's throw from the hotel, and you can see great stretches of water from your room as well as the walkways outside the hotel. The sunsets are particularly lovely, and provide a great end to a day of exploration.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Uncomfortable beds.
The beds are far from uniform in quality, and some are far better than others. In rooms with beds that aren't as new, the springs are often in need of repair, and the linens feel too old to be comfortable.
negative:
Selective bar openings.
The bar portion of The Crown is only open until the earlier hours of the evening, which could be a problem if you're looking to relax with a drink after exploring the town centre and grabbing dinner. The bar itself is well-stocked and quite relaxing, but hampered by its hours.
negative:
Complex parking rules.
There are a number of one-way streets surrounding the hotel, and it can make parking and accessing the surrounding roads more difficult than it needs to be. Additionally, if the free parking spaces are filled, you'll need to park in areas with limited parking hours.
