Guests loved the Anchors And Bars friendly local pub with congenial locals, a great night life and good food and drink.

While mum and dad enjoy a drink in the main bar, the kiddies have their own entertainment. Guests and their offspring loved the kid themed entertainment, dancing in the disco and playing musical statues. The separate tuckshop counter was a great hit with the sweet-toothed crowd

Looking for a clean, comfortable place that’s convenient to the beach and all the seaside attractions? Some guests say you need look no further than the Anchors And Bars. Although the hotel doesn’t serve breakfast,you’ll find numerous cafes and restaurants just a stone’s throw away. Guests thought the price wasn’t bad either.

Guests found all sorts of things in, behind and under the beds including sand, dust half eaten fruit, dead flies and dirty socks. If sloppy housekeeping wasn’t enough, they also complained about peeling wallpaper, dripping toilets, rooms that were too small and uncomfortable beds.

While the kids enjoyed the disco, guests in the rooms above tried to sleep despite the mayhem down below. They reported swearing and screaming from the bar, kareoke that sounded like wailing banshees, kids running down the corridors, doors slamming and people fighting. To add insult to injury, some guests complained that the so called evening entertainment was nothing but old people trying to sing kareoke.

Some guests complained that there was no-one at the reception desk when they arrived, that the staff in the restaurant seemed indifferent and that it was difficult to find anyone to answer questions. Others thought the hotel rooms were too cold, but were unable to report the problem because the staff seemed to be AWOL.
