Positive Reviews
positive:
Excellent central location
It was Taiba's location right on the edge of the Al Haram site that guests most appreciated. This was their ultimate destination in Medina, and they were very happy to be just a quick stroll away from all the sites, including Mohammad's Mosque.
positive:
Rooms very spacious
While some guests did have issues with their rooms, mostly to do with cleanliness, they were otherwise judged to be very good. Guests especially liked that they were a bit more spacious than they had expected.
positive:
Great views from some rooms
Guests in rooms facing the Al Haram site were especially pleased with the lovely views from their window. They were said to include the site itself, and also views over the rooftops of the city beyond. It certainly left them in no doubt that they had arrived in the city.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Décor looking a bit tired
A surprising number of guests suggested that the hotel really needs a full renovation to remain competitive. They thought that the décor was looking very tired, and had clearly not been updated in some time.
negative:
Very poor Wi-Fi
Like perhaps most other hotels, the Wi-Fi system at Taiba was said to be quite bad. Guests speak of it being unreliable, and very slow on the occasions it actually worked. They described it as most frustrating to use.
negative:
Far from the women's entrance
Several female guests commented that the hotel was very far from the women's entrance to the Al Haram, requiring a very long walk to get there.
