Swiss Lodge Hotel Bernerhof (Wengen, Switzerland)

At Bernerhof's rustic restaurant, guests are served with both local and international cuisine that's superbly prepared and presented in the dining room. Swiss as well as other delicacies are available to guests. The meals are varied and plentiful. Items that ran out were replenished with fresh batches from the kitchen.

The staff members are very polite and interact very sociably with guests. The concierge staff have superior familiarity of the neighbouring area. They are quick to recommend major sites, restaurants and other attractions that they think might be of interest to you.

Many guests felt that the hotel lived up to their expectations for a budget hotel. Its location makes it reachable to major points of interest. Basic necessities are also offered in all rooms.

The stairs are hard to navigate especially if you have heavy luggage. Those on higher floors are especially inconvenienced.

Some guests were dismayed by the Wi-Fi connection at the hotel. The signal was somewhat weak and patchy. This was a major concern especially because the Wi-Fi wasn't free and the cost was seen as being too pricey by some. The general consensus amongst guests was that the Wi-Fi should have been free.

The relatively small size of the rooms was a major complaint among guests. The bathrooms were particularly hard to manoeuvre in without bumping into something. At times hot water was in short supply.
