Staybridge Suites Gulf Shores, an IHG Hotel (Gulf Shores, USA)

The beach is just a short five to ten minute drive away and it is easy to find parking here. The hotel is just off the interstate which goes directly to the beach and to some of the other attractions that Gulf Shores has to offer such as Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo and Waterville USA waterpark.

The rooms have plenty of space and the beds and pillows are comfortable. They have all amenities needed to give it a home from home feel and allow you to cook in your room and relax as you wish.

The hotel is pet-friendly for an additional fee and according to previous guests you will even receive a goodie bag for your pet. Staff make a fuss over pets and welcome them just as much as the human guests. There is an enclosed walking area and conveniently there is a pet store in the nearby shopping mall.

Some previous guests have reported issues with housekeeping staff either not cleaning their room when requested or entering rooms when they have been asked not to do so. This has occurred when 'do not disturb' signs were on doors and unfortunately there have been allegations of theft from housekeeping staff by guests.

Although it is well advertised as a pet friendly hotel some previous guests who were not dog owners found that they could smell dogs throughout the hotel. It wasn't an overbearing smell and they were satisfied with the hotel, but it was something that bothered them.

Fresh fruit is available at breakfast, but some guests found that this was limited and they didn't always have a wide selection with just melon available on one day. It wasn't always restocked either so you may miss out if you are not down early.
