Friendly receptionists try their best
It has been noted that the friendly personnel here put a lot of effort into their work and do all they can to make sure visitors feel suitably welcome. Many guests admired the commitment receptionists showed to trying to converse in English.
positive:
Pretty quiet at night
Numerous guests really appreciated that, because this hotel is tucked away down a side street, it is almost immune to the kind of noise which has a habit of keeping people awake in bustling city centre locations.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Property is quite hard to find
A great many visitors have commented that this hotel's semi-secluded location makes it a real challenge to find. Travellers who (finally) found their bearings advised new arrivals to use the address rather than the name of the hotel when using Google Maps as the platform tends to send people to a different Smile hotel in Nihonbashi otherwise.
negative:
Interiors smell of smoke
It is an unfortunate fact that the smell of tobacco seems to hang around the inside of this hotel on a near permanent basis. Unsurprisingly, this is something very few non-smoking guests approved of.
negative:
Mattresses are rather hard
A significant number of visitors found the mattresses within the guest rooms to be so solid that they complained of waking with an aching back in the morning. Still softer than a futon or a tatami floor though.
