Sliema Chalet Hotel (Sliema, Malta)

Sliema Chalet is in a very central location that allows guests to reach many attractions on foot.  Getting around the general area is made even easier with access to bus stops that are just around the corner from the hotel.

The breakfast served each morning is excellent with a wide variety of fresh, quality, well-prepared hot and cold items served in a lovely dining area.  Guests reported that everything is delicious, the servings are generous and almost every breakfast item you can think of is available.

The spectacular views of the sea and surrounding area are visible from almost everywhere at the hotel and outside grounds including from many of the rooms and the spacious and relaxing terrace which makes a perfect place to admire those views and watch the sunset.

Guest rooms are small with tiny windows and they look nothing like the pictures online.  Guests reported uncomfortable beds, dated decor, tattered furnishings, stained bedding and a lack of hot water and water pressure in the showers.  Also reported was a lack of electrical outlets, a strange smell, mould in the bathrooms and malfunctioning air-conditioning.

The Wi-fi only works on the seventh floor of the hotel but is slow and disconnects frequently.  Guests who want Wi-Fi in their room have to pay for it and most times, it doesn't work anyway.

Some guests reported that there is a lot of noise around the hotel and this noise comes from street traffic outside, guests walking and talking in the corridors, doors opening and closing and a loud ventilation system.
