A standout aspect of this resort to many guests is its location. The resort is just a quick hop from the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. Also, Zoo World, Shipwreck Island Waterpark, and Signal Hill Golf Course are only five minutes away, while Gulf World Marine Park is a quick 10-minute car ride.

Not looking to deal with crowds? Guests are pleased with the fast access to the resort's 600-foot private beach.

A number of guests at The Summit take the time to specifically recommend the on-site pools. The resort features two outdoor pools, as well as two outdoor hot tubs and an indoor whirlpool. Guests appreciate the choice, feel that the pools are adequately serviced, and enjoy the ability to catch some sun on-site in case they are not up for the short walk to the private beach.

A common refrain among guests is that this resort is just too dirty. Guest rooms are reportedly filled with stained carpets, smelly interiors, heavy dust, and even dirty beds in some instances. Guests also sometimes report a distinct smell that further detracts from their stay.

While a number of guests found the staff satisfactory, others were less than impressed. Specifically, several guests found the individual(s) working the front desk to be rude.

Some guests are a bit disappointed to find that the otherwise well-outfitted condos at The Summit resort lack a washer and dryer. However, there are laundry services available at the hotel — you'll just have to leave your condo to use them.
