positive:
Perfect location for walking around
Murphy's River Lodge is perfectly situated, so you can really make the most of the area, and walk to many eateries and sites of interest. It's easy to see local wildlife, and appreciate the scenic beauty that this region is known for.
positive:
Very nice place for canine companions
Guests traveling with their dogs are genuinely pleased with the accommodations for pups. The rooms are as cozy as the rooms just for people, and there's expansive outdoor space set aside for them.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Uncomfortable beds are a disappointment
The mattresses are too firm for many guests, which disappoints the expectations for plush and snugly beds. They're not old or worn out, but just on a less softer side than usually found in hotels of this caliber. Bring or ask for extra pillows or blankets to increase cushioning.
negative:
Lodge's rules are over-emphasized
It's annoying and somewhat insulting to see constant posted reminders about the lodge's rules. Many guests feel that a verbal review and perhaps a written summary are enough, rather than finding notes everywhere.
negative:
Traffic noise disrupts the tranquility
The soothing sounds of the river and wildlife are negated by loud foot and vehicle traffic going through the trails. You may prefer to use a fan or the A/C to cool off the room, so you can preserve the quiet.
