Positive Reviews
positive:
Location, location, location...
Few guests fail to mention the hotel's prime location in Little Italy. The CBD and the Queen Victoria Market are within a pleasant walk, as are Carlton Gardens, the Melbourne Museum, and many more attractions. Many cafes, restaurants, and tram stops are also within easy reach on foot, so it is an ideal base for exploring the city without a car.
positive:
Clean, quiet, and comfortable...
Most guests have very few complaints about the recently renovated apartments, describing them as clean, spacious, and well equipped. The kitchen and laundry facilities are much appreciated, and light sleepers are happy to find the building is generally pretty quiet, though rooms closest to Lygon street are best for night owls.
positive:
Welcoming, professional staff...
The front desk staff have received many positive reviews for their personable and professional customer service. Guests generally find them responsive to special requests, and happy to make suggestions in terms of restaurants and transportation. The housekeeping team also earns a very good rating.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Different points of view...
Guests comment that though the rooms toward the back of the building are most quiet, some feature an uninspiring view of an old brick wall. Some are also unable to enjoy their balconies due to other guests' smoking on theirs.
negative:
Parking is a little tricky...
Guests note that it is necessary to reserve a parking place as the lot is fairly limited, and also a bit difficult to navigate with a large car.
negative:
Nobody's perfect...
Though the staff generally receive positive reviews, some guests have been disappointed by an unfriendly or unaccommodating team member at the front desk.
