You will be only a short drive into town, and because the hotel is also on a regular bus route, you will find that it is quick and easy to get around if you don't have a car. Restaurants and bars can be found a short walk away on Hastings Street, too, if you fancy eating out instead of using the self-catering facilities.

Because the hotel is located on a main road, you may find in busy periods that you can hear traffic noise. This disturbed some guests when who felt less inclined to use their balconies. However rooms are well glazed and quiet when doors and windows are closed, and it is said to be generally peaceful on an evening.

Some guests have said that there are restrictions placed on Wi-Fi, meaning that you don't get unlimited free usage. With this in mind, if you intend to use the internet you may find the Wi-Fi options a bit restrictive.
