Salvo Shanghai is positioned in an excellent area that is close to everything including restaurants, shops and various must-see attractions. Two metro lines are also within walking distance which means guests can easily access areas that are further away.

Guests reported that although many of the staff members don't speak or understand all that much English, they still tried their best to be helpful and accommodating. They are always smiling, they rectify issues very quickly and they try to make guests as comfortable as possible during their entire stay.

The building itself is well-maintained and full of character. Guests reported that the decor and atmosphere is a mix of old and new and the lobby is quite luxurious. .

There is no Wi-Fi available at this hotel and guests reported that the high-speed service that is supposed to be available hardly ever works and when it does work, it is very slow.

Meals served in the restaurant are of poor-quality with overcooked and soggy items, hot items served cold, unhealthy items full of grease and stale items. Guests also reported that the coffee is only warm, some of the utensils are dirty and the service is poor. .

Guests reported that the walls in the guest rooms are very thin. Conversations, running water and televisions in nearby rooms can be heard clearly and people walking and talking in the corridors sound like they are in the room with you.
