RVHotels Hotel Palau Lo Mirador (Torroella de Montgrí, Spain)

The Restaurant at the Palau Lo Mirador offers beautifully and meticulously prepared meals. The produce is always fresh and tasty. The menu offers a wide selection of Mediterranean dishes to choose from. The restaurant staff are very friendly and efficient.

The hotel itself is well-situated in Torroella de Montgri. The rooms have fantastic views over the town and beautifully landscaped gardens. You can easily reach the tourist attractions, shops and bars either by walking or using the readily available public transportation.

The hotel building, once a palace is tastefully decorated with refurbished period furniture. The building itself is beautiful and each room has a new element to admire. The restaurant is located in a room with arches and cobbled floors.

This hotel does not have a lift or a porter service and so you have to carry your luggage up and down the flights of stairs. This can become tiresome after a day of exploring the town. Although this was an issue for some guests, others found that if they asked for help the staff were happy to oblige.

Some guests have reported that they had issues with the plumbing in their rooms. Due to the age of the building the hot water takes a long time and the drains sometimes smell a little unpleasant. The tiles need to be grouted in certain areas around the baths, showers and sinks.

The hotel is not well soundproofed, the walls are thin and you  can hear other guests as they walk through the hallways. You can hear the sounds of doors opening and closing at all hours.
