This Romantic Historical House is listed with the Monuments Council, set in its own small Private Nature Reserve with frontage onto the Mzimkulu River which spills into the Indian Ocean with swimming beach 2km away. It perches in tall coastal dune forest next to the N2 freeway between Durban leading through the Transkei and on to the Cape. Sleep in 6 spacious bedrooms of a bygone era, each modified with private bathroom facilities and great views. Each has large comfortable beds with superior linen and TV, free WiFi, bar fridge, ceiling fan/or airconditioning & microwave ovens. The interior of the House is professionally designed with a friendly nod towards vintage, but with modern touches to keep it vibrant and not resembling a museum. Our breakfasts are famous and served on the wrap around Victorian veranda with deep valley and river views with the fish eagles' cry as highlight. We are not licensed to sell alcohol. The main focus is on peacefully retreating into a bygone era to rest, with walks in the forest and a Bird List of 208 species. In the vicinity are cozy restaurants, world standard golf courses and the normal malls and movies and so much more to explore.
