Royal Hotel Calgary, Trademark Collection by Wyndham (Calgary, Canada)

Guests reported that the hotel is close to the highway which provides easy access to downtown Calgary, Calgary Stampede and Calgary International Airport. For shopping and restaurants the Sunridge Mall is also a 20-minute walk away.

The rooms were found to be well presented and decorated with tasteful decor in warm colours. Guests commented that the beds are comfortable and all the basic necessities are provided including tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary toiletries and free Wi-Fi. The air condition functions well and windows can also be opened for fresh air.

The check in process is quick and guests found the staff to be welcoming and accommodating. Requests for assistance are addressed quickly and efficiently. Both the reception and restaurant staff were described as helpful and attentive. Guests also appreciated the convenience of the complimentary shuttle service provided to and from the airport.

Guests reported that housekeeping staff are not always reliable in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. Complaints included that the bathrooms were not thoroughly cleaned with hair from previous guests being found in the bathtub, and also finding the floors to be dusty and dirty.

The hotel is close to a busy highway and guests reported that some rooms are affected by the noise more than others. Other guests reported that the air conditioning system is noisy. Earplugs are recommended if you're sensitive to noise.

Some guests considered the buffet breakfast to be overpriced and recommended exploring other local restaurants.
