Rosapenna Hotel & Golf Resort (Downings, Ireland)

The Rosapenna Hotel restaurant are very hard-working, friendly and attentive. The service is fast and the food is delicious. You meals are prepared to you specifications in a timely manner. The menu changes daily and there is a lovely selection of desserts available.

The hotel is situated on a beautiful golf course. You can spend your day out walking or cycling in the countryside or playing golf on the immaculate golf course. The rooms have lovely views over the beautifully maintained grounds.

The hotel has a great range of facilities, you can play golf or tennis outside, or play board games and table tennis inside. The hotel offers bicycle rental and mini golf. The leisure centre has a lovely swimming pool, sauna and you can relax whilst getting a massage treatment.

Some parts of the hotel need to be refurbished. The decor and furniture look old and tired. The carpeting is stained and the plumbing needs work. A few modern touches would make this hotel much more comfortable.

Although most guests had a pleasant stay, some guests have reported that the reception staff can be quite unprofessional. Guests report that the reception staff were rude and not particularly welcoming towards them.

Although guests enjoyed some parts of the leisure centre, there were parts that they did not enjoy. The facilities are only open at certain limited hours of the day. The changing room is very small with no lockers and n towels or robes available. There is only one shower and there are no toiletries available for you to use whilst in the shower.
