About The Elms Hotel & Spa, a Destination by Hyatt Hotel
The Elms Hotel and Spa flourished after the discovery of healing waters in the Excelsior Springs area of Missouri over 125 years ago. This upscale complex with a 16-acre landscaped garden went on to become a magnet for celebrities and politicians.
Indeed, the Presidential Truman Suite was the setting where Harry Truman woke up as the new US president in 1948. All the rooms now contain a king or single/twin queen-size bed with a memory foam mattress and free high-speed Wi-Fi.
The ultra-modern spa now incorporates a hammam, sauna and Roman bath. The Elms Hotel and Spa also offers an indoor and seasonal outdoor pool, hot tubs and gym, as well as sporting amenities, including badminton and volleyball courts.
Rustic midwest cuisine is available in the 88 at the Elms Restaurant, whilst guests can relax in the Tavern lounge or cafe.
The hotel is within a ten to 15-minute walk of the Hall of Waters and Excelsior Springs Museum. Missouri City is 15 kilometres away.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Excellent amenities
The outdoor pool is incredibly well maintained, and although the indoor lap pool is small, it's very clean and perfect for an early morning swim. There are plenty of games and sports to play, and you'll hardly want to leave the place at all during your entire stay.
positive:
Super clean rooms
The housekeeping staff are extremely good at their jobs at this hotel where guests struggle to find a speck of dust anywhere in the hotel. The rooms are spotless and are in great shape after the recent renovation work.

Delicious food
You'll feel like you're eating a top restaurant when dining at this hotel. The meals are excellent, and the service is first class. The prices are a bit high but according to quite a few guests, it's more than worth it.
